Paint does not come with the kit, so you will need to provide that yourself. Also, each clock requires one AAA battery, which is not included.

The approximate dimensions of each wood ladybug clock are 6 inches wide (base) x 5-3/4 inches high x 1 inch deep. The clock face is approximately 2-1/2 inches in diameter.

This arts and crafts project is easy except that you won't be able to remove the clock from the wood portion before you start painting. Therefore, painting the area right around the clock face will require a little extra care in order for you to do a nice, neat job. But if you do get some paint on the clock face, just wipe it off. I recommend using acrylic craft paints, which clean up with water.

The traditional ladybug colors are, of course, red wings with black dots and a black head. But feel free to think outside the box and paint your clock in unconventional colors and patterns if you want to.

You probably won't need to keep all six clocks for yourself. The ones you don't keep you can give away as gifts or party favors.

Also, the clock kit itself would make a wonderful gift for a family with several children. This wood crafts project certainly is something that teens and younger kids (with supervision) would enjoy.
