Eclectic Crafts for St Patrick Day
Saint Patrick's Day is so much fun to celebrate even if you're not Irish. And making St Patrick Day crafts is a great way to enhance the already festive mood of this holiday.
Here are green and white (and orange!) crafts I like to make and display during the entire month of March. (Yes, orange also is a color symbolic of Ireland!)

Shamrock Painted Pumpkins
Painting small artificial pumpkins is a fun arts and crafts project that can be adapted for any holiday.
Paint shamrocks on green and white painted pumpkins and you've got a cute Saint Patrick's Day decoration for your home or work space.
 Frog Ornaments
I display this darling green frog on an ornament tree in my home during the month of March. The ribbon on this fellow says "Happy St. Patrick's Day."
Here's a quick and simple ornament to make for St. Patrick's Day. Follow the instructions for versatile Easy Make Ornament Balls except use green and white colors for the shred and ribbon.
Use whatever sized ball you want. I used a 55 mm ball for the ornament shown in the photo to the left. I also did not tie a bow on this ornament but feel free to do so if you wish.
Irish Spider Ornament
Here's an unusual St Patrick Day craft! When my 8-year-old nephew visited me for a week, he was very intrigued by my ornaments and wanted to make some.
In this photo, he proudly displays the orange spider we made together. He selected the green and white "Happy St. Patrick's Day" ribbon we used. It was an appropriate choice, even though the month was July. After all, green, white, and orange are the symbolic colors that make up the Irish flag!
This ornament is a variation of the orange Halloween spider ornament. This one has orange pompons with wiggly eyes on top (whereas the Halloween spider has painted-on circles with wiggly eyes on top).
Pearl Dragonfly Ornament for St. Patrick's Day
This stunning green and white dragonfly ornament would look lovely displayed on St. Patrick's Day.
For information on how to make it, see Dragonfly Crafts.
I hope you have enjoyed these crafts for St Patrick Day! I had a lot of fun making them.
