Christmas Ornament Craft Kit
Ornament Craft Kits: Pros and Cons
Are you interested in trying a Christmas ornament craft kit? I have made ornaments using craft kits from time to time over the years. I have given most of them away. The cute snowman ornament and Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer ornament shown in the photos on this page are ones I kept and love to display.
The only disadvantage, or con, I can think of regarding using kits would be that these ornaments often take more time to complete than you might think they will. Although some craft kits are indeed quick and easy, many do take time and patience to finish and to do a neat job of it.Unless you are in a hurry, the advantages, or pros, of using kits for arts and crafts projects outweigh this disadvantage. For example: - The outside of the package has a photo showing the completed ornament.
- Each kit contains all the supplies you will need.
- Kits contain step-by-step instructions.
Ornaments made using kits are homemade ornaments because you do absolutely all the work yourself (other than buying each material separately). The ornaments shown on this page were made using styrofoam forms covered with sequins and glass beads attached with straight pins. These "Poly Foam Pals" kits are made by Sulyn Industries. There are many other types of ornament kits. Visit your local craft store the months right before Christmas. You will find a good selection there to choose from and to be inspired by!
